IMM - International Medals and Militaria

This data base of numbered US military campaign medals has been compiled by International Medals and Military for use by new collectors of United States military medals. It may be downloaded without cost for use by all collectors. The project is ongoing and data is updated quarterly. You are invited to participate in the project by providing the numbers of campaign medals in your collection to IMM. They may be sent by E-mail to Barry@internationalmedalsandmilitaria or to the company at PO Box 1137, Kilmarnock, Virginia 22482. IMM maintains the confidentiality of your submission by destroying all correspondence once the information is uploaded.

The initial data base is composed of information from the following sources:

Numbers from the high and low ends of the Albert F. Gleim tally of numbered US campaign medals as last updated by Colonel Gleim in July 15, 1982.

Medals offered for sale in the Albert F. Gleim medal auctions numbers 1-35.

Medals offered for sale by George B. Harris in catalog numbers 1-31 and the Special Winter 1990-91 List.

Medals offered for sale by the American auction firm of Floyd, Johnson & Paine from August 10, 1994 to date.

Medals tallied from the William E. Pirtle collection.

Medals tallied from the compilers collection.

Data Base medals are presented by branch of service, order of precedence, and numbering style. The date of authorization for each medal is located after the name of the medal, the total number of each type of medals tallied is found in parenthesis after the list of medal numbers in each category.
