International
Medals and Militaria, LLC (IMM) was formed in July, 2004 to provide a Tri-Core
of services to the militaria collecting community: Auction Services, Publishing
Services, and Internet Sales and Services to the militaria colleting community.
The company is owned by Fred W. Rockwood and Barry C. Weaver. Here is some
information about IMM services that may be of value to you.
IMM provides Auction Services through an ownership
interest in the American firm of FJP Auctions, Inc. FJP has conducted four
sales each year since August, 1993 offering over 5,000 lots of orders,
decorations, medals, and militaria yearly. The company conducts two live-mail
sales each year, in February at the Show of Shows in Louisville, Kentucky and in
August in conjunction with the annual convention of the Orders and Medals
Society of America, and two mail only sales in May and November.
IMM
offers Publication Services directly to the collecting community.We are actively seeking authors with manuscripts ready for publication
now.The subject matter must be in
the general area of medal numismatics, military history, or a related area with
print run potential of at least 2500 copies.We offer professional editing, formatting, graphic design, international
distribution and royalties to our authors.
IMM offers Internet Sales on eBay through FJP under
seller name FJPAuctions. These sales are held most weeks during the year. Some
services, including a US Campaign Medal Data Base and US Medal Research, are
available now at this website.
US Medal Data Bases
IMM is building a data bases of numbered US campaign
medals and named Dewey and Sampson medals in collector hands. Contributions to
the data bases from your collection would be greatly appreciated. Members
wishing to participate should forward a list of numbered campaign medals and
named Dewey and Sampson medals in their collection to Barry at IMM. In order to
maintain confidentiality, data will be transferred to our data base and original
correspondence destroyed. Data base information will be available to all
collectors free of charge.
As
a service to new collectors or to others needing the information, IMM will
provide medal roll recipient information from published rolls for those
requesting it and, in the future, will link many other non company data bases of
interest to collectors.This
